Description: | Terracotta solid handmade group of dancers moving in circle with arms joined around central standing flutist. Dancer has wide thick strip of clay applied around front of head as polos, clay overfold from back to front as head, semi-circular face, short neck curving into flat strips as arm, stretching toward other dancer, flattened chest, upper body tilted backward, cylindrical body flaring slightly as attaches to base. Flat circular base with pared and smoothed edge. Fingerprints on chest, back and base. Similar to KT2-11 (Corinth XV.2 Class II p. 43 no. 8 pl. 4) and KT2-7, 8, 9, 10 (Corinth XV.2 Class II p. 43 no. 4-7 pl. 4). | |
