Description: | Terracotta solid handmade dancer from group moving in circle with arms joined around central standing flutist. Dancer has flat strip of clay applied around front of head as polos, clay overfold from back to front as head, semi-circular face, broad short neck curving into long flat strip arms stretching towards dancer, flattened chest, upper body tilted backward slightly, cylindrical body pinched near bottom before flaring as attaches to base. Flutist has cylindrical body flaring at bottom. Flat circular base with pared and smoothed edge. Similar to KT2-11 (Corinth XV.2 Class II p. 43 no. 8 pl. 4) and KT2-7, 8, 9, 10 (Corinth XV.2 Class II p. 43 no. 4-7 pl. 4). | |
