Description: | Stone gem from finger ring, oval in shape, flat on bottom, slightly convex top, straight flaring sides. | |
Decoration: | Engraved in stone (reading from stone and digital photo): Male figure, military attire, standing in profile to lt, chest expanded, on toes (dancing?) with lt leg slightly advanced and lt arm bent and holding a horizontal tray (?) with round object on top, rt arm not visible. Head bent slightly and wearing plain rounded helmet, lt cheek piece visible. Wearing cuirass, with belt on the rt side of which is hanging a cylindrical object with slightly bulging sides (alabastron or scabbard?). Holding a spear which extends at a 45 degree angle over his shoulder, end of spear at upper rt of gem, tip resting on upright round shield on the ground at the bottom lt. Between shield and lt leg is a curved object in upright position (curved wooden sickle?). Extending over the figure's rt shoulder and hanging down behind the back to waist level is a wavy object broken at regular intervals. From the rt shoulder a possible mantle (?) hangs down behind his back to rt heel, with three horizontal slashes near the bottom (knots?). A horizontal incised line indicates ground level with lt leg and shield extending below it. | |

Condition: | Complete or intact. Intact, slight wear on right edge, hair-line fracture starting from right front half continuing to left lower back. | |
