Description:   Terracotta masked actor. The mask, indicated by incised line around the face, has a leering expression, with parted lips and extended chin. Deeply lined forehead, hair brushed up stiffly. Left side of head pierced by a hole which extended upward. Found near MF-2473 (Davidson 1952, Corinth 12, cat. 330).
Material:   Buff yellow terracotta.
Condition:   Fragment. Single frgt., of masked actor preserving head of figurine broken off at mid-neck, with battered nose and missing ear. Traces of white slip.
Period:   2nd c. B.C.
Chronology:   3rd or 2nd c. according to Corinth 12
