Description:   Beautifully carved conventionalized floral design with a slight polish (perhaps originally more brilliant) on the convex upper surface. The back is flat. Five small holes for attachment to a box or chest.

Condition:   Fragment. Several joining fragments, fragmentary.
Period:   Early Byzantine (610-802 AD)
Chronology:   Found in context containing objects as late as the time of Manuel II (1391-1425) but probably of the early Byzantine period.
