Description:   Lekythos with disk foot with slightly flaring profile, depression in center of undersurface. Narrow stem from which rised tall cylindrical body, widening slightly to base of shoulder. Low sloping shoulder curing into tall narrow neck. Straight flaring tall rim, inward thickened flat rim. Vertical strap handle from shoulder to neck, folded against neck.
Decoration:   Foot: exterior reserved with black band around bottom; undersurface reserved, black in center. Top of foot to lower body black, with 2 pair of circumference scratched lines. Above this white ground, on which lower border of hook maeander, 1 line below, 2 above; figured zone; same border above. In zone: woman seated on chair or stool with round terminations at seat, feet on low stool with animal feet; seated frontally with torso twisted towards her lt. her head in profile, arms outstretched to proper lt., palms up. Hair tied up in back, heavy chin, wearing chiton with himation wrapped around waist and legs having a black border. Flanked by a column to either side. Shaft black with outline rectangular capitals and bases. Above hands inscription or nonsense letters. 2 rows of rays on shoulder, neck white. Rim, lip and handle black.
Material:   Fine pinkish-buff Attic clay.
Condition:   Complete or intact. Intact.
