Description:   Torso of colossal standing male figure; weight on r. leg, l. leg bent and knee slightly forward; r. hip pushed out to side; position of head uncertain; chest bare with long mantle draped over l. shoulder and arm, crossing around back, around r. hip, to cover outstretched l. forearm; anatomy of chest and abdomen carefully modelled; r. hip muscle exaggerated; drapery folds long and deeply carved; l. edge of drapery rough and unfinished (perhaps originally hidden from view by attribute held in l. hand?); surface smoothly finished; some rasp marks visible on drapery and on skin of torso near edge of cloak; back roughly worked using flat chisel; figure of a god or divinized emperor.
Material:   Fine-crystalled white marble
Condition:   Fragment. Torso from lt. shoulder to ca. knees; lacks head, r. arm, r. shoulder, l. forearm, legs below knees; drapery chipped.
