Description:   Head, roughly 1/3 life-size, of female, head pulled to proper rt. and turned back. Long hair, bound by plain white fillet, pulled back from face in wavy locks, rendered by parallel wavy incised lines over crown, gouges of bull-nosed chisel (?) on sides; folded into a knot at back of head with hair hanging down below this, and in a top knot above forehead. Oval face with low sloping brow, long incised eyebrow, eye set just below brow, long incised line articulating upper lid, grooves surrounding ball, deep drill hole at inner corners. Straight nose flaring at tip, small pursed mouth with lips separated by drilled channel, drilled corners, round chin; tips of ears projecting below hair; round neck with Venus-ring at lower break. All skin parts polished. Part of base S-1999-13 and S-1999-21, lt knee S-1999-3, rt. Arm S-1999-19A, rt. Hand S-1999-19B, lt. hand S-1999-20, lt. upper arm S-2000-4, drapery S-1999-17B, drapery S-1999-17C, and probably lt. lower arm S-2000-1.
Decoration:   Red paint over hair, originally covered with gilding; eyebrows and pupils red.

Condition:   Fragment. Single frgt., complete head, most of neck; top of hair and top-knot burned.
