Description:   Large pounder. Rounded rectangle. Rectangular in section. Five surfaces and edges show extensive rubbing wear and possible pecking. Sixth face less smooth, but possible rubbing wear. Pounders or grinders were common stone objects at Zygouries, found on floors of houses, and elsewhere on site, and likely for use with millstones. Most stone varieties were similar to those in local stream beds (Blegen 1928, 200).
