Description:   Pounder. Truncated conoid, but oval in section. Top and bottom surfaces worn by rubbing. Pounders or grinders were common stone objects at Zygouries, found on floors of houses, and elsewhere on site, and likely for use with millstones. Most stone varieties were similar to those in local stream beds (Blegen 1928, 200).
