On either side, between the handles, appears a similar scene: a youth riding a hippalektryon, facing right. On each side of the rider is a standing draped figure looking toward him, their further hands held in front of the figure and covered with drapery. The riders wear short jerkins. Added purple is used for the head-bands with long pendent ends of the standing figures, for the caps of the riders, for the necks and rumps of the hippalektryons, for a stripe on the wings of each of the birds, and for the long garment of one of the spectators. Traces of added white remain on the jerkin of one of the riders, and on the outstretched drapery of the figure facing him. Incision careless and sparing. Inside black glazed.; ; Buff clay.
