Rectangular in shape with rounded corners and one open end. Double back wall; floor over front part only. The fragments give part of the top, with a finished edge along the open front, and part of the back, rounding from the top to a vertical wall with finished edge below. Preserved inside is the back left-hand corner of the floor, and inner back wall, which is set in about three centimeters from the outer wall, and extended only part way to the top of the object.; ; Coarse red to brown clay, carefully surfaced; blackened from use inside. The fabric is exactly like that of the contemporary braziers on stands and, as made up, the oven fits neatly on the top of one of these braziers. Cf. P 2116 (Ι 386).","Object","Black Glaze Oven"
