Top surface rough picked, with a large shallow round cutting in the center. Back plain, picked fairly fine. Sides dressed with toothed chisel; on the left, a thin flat oval pendant in relief (tambourine?), projection ca. 0.012m; on each side of it, and below, an ivy leaf in low relief. On the right side, a pair of castanets (?).; The inscription given both in Greek and in Latin. The inscribed face, below the heavy crowning which is carried round all four sides of the block, is framed with a shallow cymation; the mouldings finished smooth; the face more roughly, with a toothed chisel. The whole has been reconstructed with plaster and includes also the pieces numbered I 118 and I 786.; The earlier fragments were found in the curbing of a late well ca. 3.00m. to the north.
