Layer 5 in "Wall Painted Room" of Roman House ε. Layer resting on bedrock and covered partially by good strosis (55.26m.). Fill was red with mudbricks, tiles, much plaster ... Late 1st-early 2nd c. A.D ... Plaster dump at Q/2,5-6/7,9.

Well in front of Shop 15: Turkish (in line of Valerian Wall) Opened the well again in 1951, without realizing that it was finished. Found nothing in it. (p. 1468) ... 15th-16th c. A.D ... nothing in it. (p. 1468). |
A deep pit in bedrock over mouth of well. Context archaic, 6th c.
B.C., but with some traces of later disturbance. Found a circle for a well at the bottom, much water, no sherds.
Lay 2.20m south of Well ... 6th c. B.C ... -2.5m. |
Essentially uniform fill of III-IV c. A.D. with a Byzantine upper fill. Coins:
