Well cut through cistern at 40/Θ on Kolonos Agoraios (E 11:1). Two use periods plus an upper dumped fill from which the following objects: B 319, I 3994, SS 5745, T 1235. Coins:

Cistern with considerable dumped fill at the north foot of Kolonos Agoraios. It may have been abandoned ca. 295-295 B.C.; it will have been filled by 280 B.C.

Dumped filling in an unfinished well originally dug only to a depth of 5.50m. Probably a post-Persian cleanup, perhaps in one of the public buildings near the SW corner of the square ... Ca. 520-490 B.C ... Agora IV, p. 237 ... Agora XXI, p. 97. |
