Well below Stoa Terrace Fountain. Heavy dumped filling, including a great variety of figured and plain wares. Never completed in antiquity because of hard bedrock. Estimated Grid ... 575-550 B.C.

[Agora Deposit] E 14:5: Unfinished Well, Well G

Found in 13/06/1935. Dumped filling in an unfinished well originally dug only to a depth of 5.50m. Probably a post-Persian cleanup, perhaps in one of the public buildings near the SW corner of the square ... Ca. 520-490 B.C.

A small square well at 37/ΚΑ (about 0.60x0.70m), on the north slope of the Areopagus. Curbed with rough stones. Filling of a small shallow well which contained nothing from the POU and since no water was ... Ca. 350-320 B.C.

Well at 21/Ε (beneath Library of Pantainos). The clearing of the well was abandoned because of a cave-in of the rock walls. Heavy dumped filling, the proportion of fine black table ware high ... Ca. 440-425 B.C.
