Description:   Top slope of the context is level. The soil color is light greyish brown. The soil compaction is compact. The soil is poorly sorted. It is clayey silt.
Notes:   This context was opened after 6447 was excavated approximately 60 cm (35 cm after adjustment--elevation error). At this level, there is a distinct soil change from the grey ashy-clayey-marley soil (not sure on the exact composition of this soil-some sent for testing) to brown clayey soil. Just from observation of the dirt as it comes up from the well, there appear to be less inclusions; no visible bits of charcoal or the red/green material of 6447, no grey clay chunks. The soil of 6455 does stil have clay in it, but it is of a different nature than that in 6447. \it does not seem to be coming out in large chunks like before, but only small balls and chunks that are easily broken up with fingers.
Later, looking at the dirt in the dry sieve, the red/green/yellow bits inside the grey clay chunks are still present, but in much fewer numbers and smaller chunks.
6455 was closed after 35 cm of excavation. Change was an artifical boundary. Towards the end of this context, several boulders less than or equal to 30 cm appeared
