Description:   Top slope of the context is slight down to the W. The soil color is light reddish brown. The soil compaction is weakly cemented. The soil is poorly sorted. It is silty sand.
Notes:   Excavation will only occur in the S. half of the NE quadrant for the sake of time. A cut is immediataely visible ca. 0,20m away from the well and circles around it in the S (N. will not be explored). The cut circles around approx. 0,20cm away from the well head. The soil beneath the surface level outside of the cut (and thus to the S.) is weakly cemented and has a reddish-white hue. A coin was found within context, el. 81,355, it is in two pieces. A secondary semi-linear cut was discovered, parallel to the southern boundary. This cut seemingly extends in an irregular fashion N-S towards the modern shed door along the western boundary. The soil between the circular cut around the well and the irregular cut around the permieter of the surface is light reddish brown and immediately overlying bedrock. The soil outside of the irregular cut around the surface of the room is light brownish brown. Due to the constraints of time this context was closed to excavate the lightish brown soil above the cut around the permieter. We decide with little time left to find the rest of the cut from the wellhead. We thus extend 177 to encompass it.
