Title:   Jug with Paint Decoration (Motto Mug)

Description:   Handle, much of lip and part of body missing. Restored in plaster. Globular jug on small ring foot which is conically hollow beneath. Neck flares out to a plain lip. Single vertical handle. Body very lightly wheel-ridged.
May be faint traces of discoloration due to disappearance of letters in added white around the body.
Buff to reddish-buff clay; dull brownish to reddish-brown glaze, much worn, on exterior to foot.
ADDENDA Broken again into more pieces and mended in January 1954.
Context:   Rectangular pit.
