Description:   The context shape in plan is rectrangular. The top break of the cut is sharp. The sides of the cut are concave. The break at the base of the cut is sharp. The base of the cut is flat. Truncation: Truncated on the east side by cut 1009 and Grave 2016-08..
Notes:   This cutmark was discovered after the removal of a fill level (context 1018) in the SW quadrant of the church. We were specifically looking for this mark we had as we had unknowingly removed part of a tile structure (1016) extending from within cut 1009 to the west into the west scarp of the cut. Knowing this indicated a burial, we needed to find the cut for the western portion of the burial. This cut is unusual in that it encompasses an area larger than needed for the individual buried within it. However, a jumble of skeletal element was found to the south of the right leg of the inhumation (skeleton 1025) indicating the area's reuse. This cut may be indicative of a different burial event ot the one evidenced by inhumation 1025. The cut was evidently truncated in the east by cut 1009 for burial of inhumation 1011 and those represented by the skulls from Skeleton Context 1005.
