Stratum:   60% ceramics (tile and pottery), cobbles, pebbles, snail, shells.
Description:   Top slope of the context is slight down to the N. The soil color is dark greyish brown. The soil compaction is soft. The soil is moderately sorted. It is silty clay.
Notes:   We open this basket to investigate the rubble pile north of structure 110 on the western side of the exposed part of the wall. The eastern portion of the rubble pile was excavated separtely as deposit 111 because of a truncation spliting the two piles. The two appear to have the same soil and inclusions. Like 111, the soil is dark grayish brown soft with significant quantities of tile and large cobbles (0.15x0.20). Also like 111, snail shells are present in large amounts (ground snails, we're told). During excavation, we find a coin and several large tiles. Some are round like a roof tile, others are flat like the two in the northern scarp that seem to be for a floor. During excavation, we come down upon a light pale yellow clay layer more compact than the soil of this deposit. We chase the rubble pile to the west but the stone and tile inclusions stop at the opening limited of the deposit. There appears to be two different soils on this end but only further excavation can determine that. After clearing all the rubble, we close the context. Shortly after, we investigate the soil of the entire area and find much more of the pale yellow clay thought to be part of the original superstructure of the wall. The other rubble piles associated with this one are 111 and 118, where we found more yellow clay after the rubble.
