Description:   Top slope of the context is slight down to the W. The soil color is light yellowish brown. The soil compaction is firm. The soil is moderately sorted. It is sandy silt.
Notes:   Having removed all the modern fill from the trench we have now turned our attention to unexcavated layers. We have begun with this area directly to the west of Unit 2, Room A as it is the highest remaining level in this exterior area. As we move north it had begun to reveal a more compact pebble layer. We have decided to sieve 50% of the material which is producing a large amount of bone and iron (metal) remains, in addition to ceramics. In the souther portion we found a coin (E: 97.48, N: 1067.01, El.: 86.21 - COIN 2014-7). The compact cobbles are being revealed throughout except in the very south, south of the vaulted chamber. A second coin (COIN 2014-8) was found in the sieve. Moving north a pit dug into the revealed road surface was found. Also the soil revealved a second road in the northern edge. Therefore this context has revealed two layers of roads: the later one only preserved in the north and along the western edge, while the earlier extends nearly throughout the eastern area in which context 19 lay.
