Description:   Top slope of the context is level. The soil color is light greyish brown. The soil compaction is weakly cemented. The soil is moderately sorted. It is sandy silt.
Notes:   We started excavating the backfill to the west of the road. In NB 830, p. 108 there is the top plan of the road area during the 1995 excavation season. It seems that fill 241 can be associated with basket 57 (NB 839). Fill 241 is in the area of grid square 83G, which, according to the 1995 excavation, is almost completely filled with backfill from Mrs. Kosmopoulou's trench, dug to Neolithic levels (pre 2nd World War). The removal of fill 241 revealed a lower surface of the road on the east side and traces of the robbing trench of the drain, which extends to the NW. The western area was characterized by a dark brownish soil, which had a higher elevation. In the NW section of this deposit we found an Ottoman pipe (E. 94.87, N. 1069.42, El: 85.92).
