Category: | Deposit | |
Notebook: | 1108 | |
Context: | 27 | |
Date: | 2014/04/09 | |
Stratum: | Less than 5% small pebbles; nearly clean soil
Description: | Top slope of the context is level. The soil color is dark brownish brown. The soil compaction is very soft. The soil is very poorly sorted. It is sandy silt.
Notes: | The fill of the pit in the road was quickly excavated as it was very small in size and amount. The soil contained no inclusions expect for a few pebbles. It is clear that the pit cuts into the road but it is unclear if it cut into the layer of dirt above the road (Deposit 19). Therefore some of the fill may have been removed with Deposit 19. It is characterized by the lack of material culture.
