Description:   Top slope of the context is slight down to the N. The soil color is light yellowish brown. The soil compaction is firm. The soil is poorly sorted. It is silty clay.
Notes:   Removal of deposit 443 revealed a cut and fill at the west edge of the Ottoman pit exavated in the previous session. The soil of the fill is significantly whiter and consists of more clay content than the surrounding sediment. A distinction in this fill is also visible in the scarp of the pit. We can see many large pieces of tile in the scarp. We removed 13 large tile fragments before closing the context. The fill appears to be a dump of broken tiles and clay.
