Notes:   Structure context 468 is a ring of squared limestone blocks set orthagonally inside a circular pit cut through the tile floor in unit 2 room A. The ring of stones was revealed by the removal of a fill NB 870 B 59. Because the elevation of the top of stones is ca. 0.10 m higher than the floor and the cut has destroyed the paving tiles, it seems likely that this feature belongs to a later phase of use in the room. Altough the cut in which the stones are set is circular amd the southern 2/3 of the ring follows its course, the northern portion of the structure is formed by a single block wedged horizontally between the E and W uprights. This block has the same material, finish and dimensions as the other components in the structure. Also, it is set .ca 0.15 m inside the edge of a cut, suggesting that it was originally set upright and has been knocked over into its current position, perhaps for a secondary use of the structure. If this is the case, its seems likely that a similar block has been removed, as this block would be necessary to complete the ring.
