Area:   Temple E, Southeast
Title:   Floor surface in patches in North of Room 2
Category:   Deposit
Notebook:   1109
Context:   617
Date:   2015/04/23
Stratum:   Small rounded pebbles, white inclusions (plaster?). Inclusions 10%.
Description:   The soil color is light brownish white. The soil compaction is soft. The soil is well sorted. It is clayey silt.
Notes:   617 was a floor surface which went up to the orthostate remaining in the Wall 556. A small patch of the same floor was not connected to the rest of the floor, but was dug together with the rest of the floor surface. The two patches had been separated by a cut for something no longer distinguishable, but the same elevation, color of soil and inclusions indicated the two belonged together. 20% of the floor was sent as a sample for flotation. The floor surface was above a rock and tile filled deposit seen elsewhere in the area after the removal of 614.
