Description:   Top slope of the context is slight down to the E. The soil color is light yellowish yellow. The soil compaction is weakly cemented. The soil is poorly sorted. It is silty sand.
Notes:   (ERA) 7:00: Opening of work at Room 3 in Unit 2. The aim is to backfill this area at the end of the season, so deposits must be removed before. After reviewing the notes.
(KTT) Ca. 9:30: After removing the fill from pit dug in '92, we took out a small area of hard packed fill to the SW of the pit. Deposit was easily removed and revealed more of the clayey layer found on other sides of the pit. Context was excavated E-W.
Panos considered the deposit to continue further to the S. A second set of points were taken demarking the extension of the area. The area we had originally thought t0o be one context in the shape of a "B" was actually 2, the northern half was left as it was more clayey, the S half was excavated as an extension of context 649.
We reached the bottom of the compact layer and found the clayey layer underneath. We have therefore closed the layer.
A sample of ash was taken as a find, though not inventoried in ""Other Finds"
