Description:   Top slope of the context is level. The soil color is dark brownish grey. The soil compaction is loose. The soil is moderately sorted. It is sandy silt.
Notes:   Just north of a line of stones which is a possible linear feature running east-west at the western end of the corridor, is a darker, softer layer partially overlaying a harder layer. Kostas excavated a shallow (2cm) pass to the south of the possible linear feature and turned up more reddish soil with what looks like brick. The context overlays the possible linear feature and extends slightly to the north and south on either side of it. This soft layer turned up no pottery or bone.
