Notes:   filled by 706.
708 is the cut for the foundation trench of Wall 700, the North wall of Room 9. The bottom has a moderate slope down to the West. The trench cuts the pebbly surface that covers the eastern half of the room, as does the foundation trench for Wall 659, the eastern wall, Context 672/673. 708 is cut deeper than 672 and had three coins found in its fill (706): 111, 112, 113 (all Villehardouin CORINTVM). At the time of the excavation, the relationship between Wall 700 and 659 is not clear.
