Category: | Deposit | |
Notebook: | 1109 | |
Context: | 712 | |
Date: | 2015/05/09 | |
Stratum: | 50 % with mostly spherical, sub-rounded fine pebbles, a few small roof tiles, and a couple of small bones
Description: | The soil color is dark reddish black. The soil compaction is hard. The soil is poorly sorted. It is sandy clay.
Notes: | Context 712 was a dump of fill in the western part of the room, which was blacker in color than previous contexts in the area and cut by the rectangular trench 692/695, so it is possible its Southern border once extended further. Like other dumped deposits in this area, it seems to have been for leveling. 02/06/2015 (L Kennedy): Animal bones: large terrestrial animal, not identifiable to taxa due to fragmentation, 0.17 kg, all thrown.
