Stratum:   inclusions: 15% pottery, bone, tile, brick, cobbles
Description:   Top slope of the context is slight down to the N. The soil color is light reddish brown. The soil compaction is weakly cemented. The soil is poorly sorted. It is sandy silt.
Notes:   Context 718 is another fill layer. It has a high concentration of cobbles, especially in its northern half. We needed to remove this layer in order to give Kostas room to further excavate under 714, which he thinks may extend to the north under 718. After removing this context we should better understand he cut which is filled by 714 - which s probably a foundation trench for the N wall of the church. Kostas has turned up a patch of lighter soil in the southwestern portion of this context. Also a patch with a ot of coarse pebbles in the northern part of the section. Both of these will be removed as different contexts.
