Description:   Top slope of the context is level. The soil color is light reddish brown. The soil compaction is weakly cemented. The soil is poorly sorted. It is clayey silt.
Notes:   723 is a very small context of fill at the northern end of the section. As we are excavating this section, we are finding several overlapping layers of fill which have only slight differences. 723 is very similar to 718, but with larger inclusions and a higher concentration of them. The matrix is the same reddish brown soil as 718 and Kostas is noticing no difference in hardness. 723 was almost completely sterile. Only one sherd, and no bone was found.
