Stratum:   5% spherical anggular fine pebbles. Tile fragments only visible on surface.
Description:   Top slope of the context is level. The soil color is light brownish yellow. The soil compaction is soft. The soil is well sorted. It is silty clay.
Notes:   (KTT) We continue work in the Northern area of the trench. Panos has been wanting to reemove a tiley context adjacent to the reconstructed N wall. It appears to be the fill of a cut, or so Panos indicates, but we will know for sure as we excavate.
(ERA) After the layer of tiles (very few pieces scattered without any order) of the surface, the soil turns very""clean" with ____ not inclusions of any type. This context is, however, by a reconstructed wall with a plastic fefining the spot where a foundation trench was made for it. Thus, although this context is undoubtedly Medieval, its norhtern boundary should be consiered with care.
(KTT) Soil seems slightly grittier further down, perhaps the result of settling.
Panos has begun to define what looks like the cut in the East end of the Context, where there is a harder redish soil.
