Title:   Clay Surface Across Northern Half of Room 6
Category:   Deposit
Notebook:   1109
Context:   789
Date:   2015/05/19
Lot:   Lot 2015-030
Stratum:   inclusions: 15% pottery, bone, tile, cobbles and small boulders (subrounded spherical to tabular)
Description:   Top slope of the context is slight down to the S. The soil color is light greyish green. The soil compaction is weakly cemented. The soil is poorly sorted. It is clayey silt.
Notes:   This context is the clay layer which we think may be a floor (although it is still rather high compared to the walls). It was cut by a lot of graves which we dug first. The first pass was started on 2015/05/19.

Kostas is continuing a pass across the northern half of the room. This clay surface seems to be fairly regular - coming off in large chunks, revealing a different matrix underneath, with less and smaller inclusions. In the NE corner of the trench there are a lot of large, flat-lying tiles (10-15 cm, square in shape). The surface gets thicker as we move to the north of the trench - we will have to dig another pass.
