Title: | Ashy patch in S. of room 9
Category: | Deposit | |
Notebook: | 1109 | |
Context: | 790 | |
Date: | 2015/05/21 | |
Stratum: | 20% inclusions with no cobbles, very little bone, and mostly fine, sub-rounded, platy pebbles; primarily ash.
Description: | The soil color is light brownish grey. The soil compaction is firm. The soil is well sorted. It is clayey silt.
Notes: | Small deposit of ash that was packed down, perhaps walked on. It may be related to context 652, which was a looser ashy fill over the southern portion of the room. Possible that 790 is related to 652 or that it represents an earlier dump of ash in an outdoor space. It had been exposed since the first week of May.
