Type:   Basket
Name:   Temple E, Southeast, context 804
Area:   Temple E, Southeast
Title:   cut for burial north of wall 20
Notebook:   1109
Context:   804
Date:   2015/05/22
Description:   The context shape in plan is sub-rectangular. The top break of the cut is sharp. The sides of the cut are vertical. The break at the base of the cut is sharp. The base of the cut is flat. Truncation: none.
Notes:   Note that the cut was overexcavated to the east and the west. In the measurements, only the real cut was measured, not the eastern and westerns overexcavated parts. The plan shows how the cut was excavated at the top, and how it narrower towards the bottom as the correct edges of the cut were found.
The bottom of the cut might be slightly underexcavated, on the other hand. Since the fill itself was so slayey, especially around the skeleton, it was hard to tell the difference between it and the surrounding matrix. Excavation was stopped when all loose material seemed scraped away and white pebbles started showing up, not dissimilar to the surrounding matrix along the sides.
