Corinth Basket: Temple E, Southeast, context 857
Collection:   Corinth
Type:   Basket
Name:   Temple E, Southeast, context 857
Area:   Temple E, Southeast
Title:   Compact fill between structures 850 and 157
Category:   Deposit
Notebook:   1109
Context:   857
Date:   2015/06/11
Stratum:   10% angular, spherical small pebbles. Some tiles flat on the surface, otherwise rather clean soil
Description:   Top slope of the context is level. The soil color is dark greyish brown. The soil compaction is soft. The soil is well sorted. It is silt.
Notes:   10.12: Excavation of the deposit started from its south edge, which was actually defined by Cut 842. The excavation of this context can clarify the relationship between structures 157 and 850, since the deposit is preserved in contact with faces of both structures.
11.18: The context ended not revealing clear information on both structures. The excavation exposed a rather uneven surface. Its relationship to the wall is still unclear.
