Stratum:   70% spherical sub-rounded small and medium pebbles. Tiles c. 7cm and tabular angular cobbles also present.
Description:   Top slope of the context is level. The soil color is dark yellowish brown. The soil compaction is soft. The soil is very poorly sorted. It is silt.
Notes:   11.58: Small lens of soil NE corner of the room. Although the boundaries with the upper layers are well defined, distinguishing between 858 and the context is laid on was very difficult. The boundary is extremely diffuse, and defining the limits of the context depended on the visible fragments of tile (c.7cm) on the surface of the context.
12.20: Excavation of the lens ended. A small depression was exposed, revealing a more compact soil along the north wall and the edge of the robbing trench. Despite having found two coins the deposit barely contained any other artefact.
