Description:   The soil color is light reddish brown. The soil compaction is loose. The soil is poorly sorted. It is clayey silt.
Notes:   Layer of soft soil extending E-W across room 6. A zig-zag line separates it from harder surface to the north. At the north, we come down on the same tile-filled surface as beneath 867, the same which also underlies 866 and the circular pit 9, which is now removed.
In mid-excavation, we take a short cake/anise bread break.

Excavation continued the morning of 15/6, before PJK arrived to site; AMS is away in Athens today.
At east, we came down on an apparent cut in the surface below, running up to Wall 59; robbing trench.
